The East Walker is prime and flowing at 100 cfs. There’s just enough water to keep fish from being spooky this time of year. Recent surveys showed record populations above and below the Elbow access. Fishing should remain excellent until there’s a call for water when it warm up some. Winter stoneflies are still around, but should slow down with the spring warmth. Spin fishing with spoons and rapalas should continue to produce fish in deep water and protected pools. Fly fishing with streamers and larger nymphs has been the best bet with the water levels.
